Paola Tili is a Doctoral Candidate (DC07), for MSCA NEPIT at the Department of Information Engineering from the Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM), Ancona, Italy. She will carry out research on “Comparison of conventional and novel test methods for reverberation chambers”. The objective is to model the EM field distribution in semi-enclosed environments with the presence of lossy materials and objects via analysis of propagation parameters, and to develop a statistical analysis of the field distributions as a function of loss and of the coupling through apertures connecting RC and semi-enclosed environments. The Doctoral Candidate is expected to develop numerical tools for the analysis of electrically large complex structures, including statistical analysis modules.
She obtained her bachelor’s (in 2022) and master’s degree (in 2025) in Telecommunication Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Tirana (Albania). Before starting her PhD, she worked as a software developer and spent a year at the European Patent Office in the Netherlands as a Young Professional, focusing on information security. During this time, she also taught programming and engineering-related subjects to university students at a private course centre. Since April 2025, she has been conducting her research activities at UNIVPM hoping that her work will contribute to more accurate and effective EMC testing methods and help narrow the gap between simulation, research and industry.
Her goal is to remain a lifelong learner and contribute to ideas that have an impact, believing that “the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”
