Muhammad Kamran Safdar is Doctoral Candidate, DC05, for MSCA DN-NEPIT (Network for Evaluation of Propagation and Interference Training) at the Department of Telecommunication and Tele-informatics from the Politechnika Wrocławska University, Poland. He will carry out research on “Modelling and simulating a semi-reverberant environment from anechoic chamber by adding reflectors”. The objective is modelling with sufficient accuracy the impact of the random EM environment where systems are deployed, and create a breakthrough in the simulation of EM wave propagation characteristics in semi-enclosed environments. The doctoral candidate is expected to validate models and techniques to evaluate large system emission in-situ.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan in 2015. He also holds master’s degree in Electronic Science and Technology from Xi’an Jiao tong University, China in 2021. He has diversified industrial experience in telecommunication and high frequency electronic interconnects field. From October 2021 to November 2023, he worked at Huawei Technologies, UAE as an Optical DWDM Transmission Network Engineer. He performed duties in planning, deployment and configuration of optical transmission network. Later, he worked at LOTES, Guangzhou China, as Signal Integrity (SI) Engineer from November 2023 to October 2024. During this job duration, he carried out high frequency EM simulations for high frequency electronic connectors (Gen6/7, PCIe. 6.0/ PCIe. 7.0) using ANSYS HFSS/ CST Microwave Studio to analyse and solve insertion loss, impedance mismatching, cross-talk and EMI/ EMC issues. He has expertise in EM simulations, 3D CAD Solidworks and measurements using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), TDR and Signal Generator tools. He is proficient in English and Chinese also.
